Apollo.io Integration

'Connect Apollo.io to Supervity, authorize access, and use Apollo.io contacts, companies, and email features in operators and workflows.'

This guide explains how to connect Apollo.io to Supervity, what data is available after connection, how operators can use Apollo.io data and actions within workflows, and how to remove the integration when needed.

Overview

The Supervity Apollo.io integration allows your workspace to securely connect Apollo.io as a governed platform capability.

Once connected, operators and workflows can use Apollo.io data and actions to automate sales prospecting, search for candidate/business contacts, enrich organization records, and orchestrate outbound email communications.

With the Apollo.io integration, Supervity can:

  • Search and retrieve detailed contact records
  • Create and update contact profiles
  • Search and retrieve company profiles
  • Create and update company records
  • Send outbound emails to prospects
  • List sent emails and campaigns

All Apollo.io access is governed through Supervity's security, permissions, and audit controls.

Prerequisites

Before connecting Apollo.io, ensure you have:

  • An active Supervity workspace
  • An active Apollo.io account
  • Permission to authorize third-party applications on your Apollo.io account

Depending on your Apollo.io tenant configuration, some operations may require specific user permissions within your organization.

Adding the Apollo.io Integration

Follow these steps to connect Apollo.io to Supervity. If you encounter any issues during setup, refer to the Troubleshooting section of this guide.

Step 1: Open Integrations

  1. Log in to Supervity.
  2. From the left navigation bar, click the Integrations icon.

This opens the Integrations page, where all available integrations are listed. Connected integrations and available integrations can both be managed from this page.

Step 2: Select Apollo.io

  1. Locate Apollo.io in the available integrations list.
  2. Click Connect.

Step 3: Authorize Access

You will be redirected to Apollo.io's secure authorization page.

Review the requested permissions and click Allow to grant Supervity access to your Apollo.io account.

Supervity uses Apollo.io's standard OAuth 2.0 authorization flow. Your Apollo.io password is never shared with or stored by Supervity.

Step 4: Complete Connection

After authorization, you will be redirected back to Supervity.

The Apollo.io integration will appear as Connected on the Integrations page. Your workspace can now securely access Apollo.io capabilities according to the permissions granted.

  • Encrypted credential storage (AES-256)
  • Scoped access policies
  • Token refresh and rotation support
  • Immediate revocation capabilities
  • Workspace-level governance controls
  • Complete audit logging
  • TLS 1.3 for all connection pipelines

Managing the Integration

View Connection Status

From the left navigation bar, click the Integrations icon.

For Apollo.io you can view:

  • Connection status
  • Granted permission categories
  • Last usage information
  • Associated workflows and operators

Reconnect Apollo.io

If Apollo.io authorization expires: Open the Integrations page from the left navigation bar. Select Apollo.io. Click Reconnect. Complete authorization again through the Apollo.io portal.

Existing workflows and operators do not need to be recreated.

Removing the Apollo.io Integration

You can remove the Apollo.io connection from your Supervity workspace at any time directly from within the Supervity platform.

Steps to Remove

Log in to Supervity. From the left navigation bar, click the Integrations icon. Locate and select Apollo.io from the integrations list. Click Disconnect. Confirm the action when prompted.

Implications of Removal

Once removed:

  • Supervity immediately loses all access to your Apollo.io account and associated data
  • No new Apollo.io data will be read or processed after removal
  • All active Apollo.io connections within your Supervity workspace are terminated
  • Scheduled or active workflows that depend on Apollo.io will stop executing
  • Apollo-dependent workflow steps will fail safely with clear error messages
  • Existing workflow definitions within Supervity are not deleted — only the active connection is terminated
  • Historical execution logs remain available for auditing purposes

Disconnecting Apollo.io does not delete workflow definitions, operators, or previously generated outputs.

How Your Data Is Handled After Removal

Data Handling on Removal:

  • Supervity immediately loses access to your Apollo.io account upon removal
  • No new Apollo.io profiles or email data will be collected or processed after disconnection
  • Temporary files processed during workflow execution are deleted after execution completes
  • Apollo.io access tokens and all account-related data are permanently deleted from Supervity's platform within 15 minutes of disconnection — no background access continues after removal

Auditing & Observability

All Apollo.io activity performed through Supervity is logged.

Audit records include:

  • Which operator requested access
  • Which workflow executed the action
  • Timestamp of execution
  • Success or failure status
  • Relevant inputs and outputs (sensitive values are redacted)

This supports compliance, troubleshooting, governance, and operational visibility.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues at any stage, refer to the steps below. For issues not covered here, contact the Supervity support team.

Authorization Failed During Setup

Likely Cause: Incorrect Apollo.io account used, or corporate tenant policies restricting third-party applications.

Resolution:

  1. Ensure you are signed in to the correct Apollo.io account.
  2. Verify with your organization's IT administrator that your account is allowed to authorize third-party applications (Admin Consent may be required).
  3. Return to Supervity → Integrations → Apollo.io and click Connect to retry.
  4. If the issue persists, contact your IT administrator.

Missing Contact or Company Data

Likely Cause: The requested record does not exist, or required search filters are too restrictive.

Resolution:

  1. Confirm that the contact or company exists under your Apollo.io platform interface.
  2. Adjust your search queries or parameters to match less restrictive conditions.

Connection Expired or Token Invalid

Likely Cause: Security policies may force token expiration or revocation.

Resolution:

  1. Go to Integrations → Apollo.io → Reconnect.
  2. Complete the Apollo.io authorization flow again.
  3. Existing workflows do not need to be reconfigured after reconnection.

Workflow Cannot Access Apollo.io

Likely Cause: Apollo.io may have been disconnected, or workspace governance policies may restrict access.

Resolution:

  1. Confirm Apollo.io is still connected under the Integrations page.
  2. Verify the workflow has permission to use Apollo.io within your workspace governance settings.
  3. Check that workspace policies allow Apollo.io execution for the relevant operators or workflows.

Emails Not Sending

Likely Cause: The connected outbound mailbox is inactive or disabled inside Apollo.io.

Resolution:

  1. Log in to Apollo.io.
  2. Verify that your sending mailbox is connected, authenticated, and in good health in Apollo's settings.
  3. Re-authenticate your Apollo.io integration inside Supervity.
