Webflow Integration

'Connect Webflow to Supervity, manage sites, pages, assets, and CMS collections in operators and workflows.'

This guide explains how to connect Webflow to Supervity, what data is available after connection, how operators can use Webflow data and actions within workflows, and how to remove the integration when needed.

Overview

The Supervity Webflow integration allows your workspace to securely connect Webflow as a governed platform capability.

Once connected, operators and workflows can use Webflow data and actions to manage websites, retrieve page layouts, handle media assets, and automate CMS collection updates.

With the Webflow integration, Supervity can:

  • Query site profiles
  • Retrieve page layouts
  • Manage media library files
  • Orchestrate CMS databases

All Webflow access is governed through Supervity's security, permissions, and audit controls.

Prerequisites

Before connecting Webflow, ensure you have:

  • An active Supervity workspace
  • An active Webflow account (Workspace or Workspace site)
  • Permission to authorize third-party applications on your Webflow workspace or specific sites

Adding the Webflow Integration

Follow these steps to connect Webflow to Supervity. If you encounter any issues during setup, refer to the Troubleshooting section of this guide.

Step 1: Open Integrations

  1. Log in to Supervity.
  2. From the left navigation bar, click the Integrations icon.

This opens the Integrations page, where all available integrations are listed. Connected integrations and available integrations can both be managed from this page.

Step 2: Select Webflow

  1. Locate Webflow in the available integrations list.
  2. Click Connect.

Step 3: Authorize Access

  1. You will be redirected to Webflow's secure authorization page.
  2. Select the workspaces or specific sites you want to connect to Supervity, review the requested permissions, and click Authorize Application (or Allow) to grant access.

Supervity uses Webflow's standard OAuth 2.0 authorization flow. Your Webflow credentials are never shared with or stored by Supervity.

Step 4: Complete Connection

  1. After authorization, you will be redirected back to Supervity.

The Webflow integration will appear as Connected on the Integrations page. Your workspace can now securely access Webflow capabilities according to the permissions granted.

How Webflow Works in Supervity

After connection, Webflow becomes available as a governed platform tool.

Operators can use Webflow capabilities when planning and executing tasks, while workflows can automate actions using Webflow data.

Common use cases include:

  • Syncing database records or inventory details directly into Webflow CMS Collection items
  • Uploading images or promotional assets to Webflow and linking them dynamically
  • Retrieving site page structures to perform layout reviews
  • Syncing user-generated blog posts or catalogue additions to Webflow sites automatically

Using Webflow in Operators

Connected Webflow capabilities become available to operators automatically. Operators determine when Webflow data or actions are required to complete a task and execute accordingly, while remaining governed by workspace permissions, security controls, and approval policies.

What Operators Can Do with Webflow

Operators can perform the following actions using Webflow:

  • List available sites and query details of a specific site
  • List pages inside a site
  • List media assets and upload new assets to the site library
  • List CMS collections, list collection items, and create, update, or delete items

Typical Operator Use Cases

Use CaseExample
Catalogue SyncRead product lists from an internal database and append them as Webflow collection items
Media Asset UploadingUpload daily graphic banners to Webflow and link them to homepages
Layout AuditsList site pages to verify navigation structures across active environments
CMS CleaningAutomatically delete obsolete or expired event listings from a CMS collection

Permission TypePurpose
Read SitesRead list of sites and site details
Read PagesView site page structures and configurations
Read & Write AssetsList media library files and upload new assets
Read & Write CMSRead schemas, list items, and create, update, or delete CMS Collection records
Offline AccessMaintain integration connectivity without requiring constant re-authentication

Supervity follows least-privilege principles and only accesses data necessary to provide requested functionality.

Authentication & Security

The Webflow integration uses OAuth 2.0 authentication.

Security controls include:

  • Encrypted credential storage (AES-256)
  • Scoped access policies
  • Token refresh and rotation support
  • Immediate revocation capabilities
  • Workspace-level governance controls
  • Complete audit logging
  • TLS 1.3 for all connection pipelines

All Webflow access remains subject to Supervity security policies and role-based permissions.

Managing the Integration

View Connection Status

From the left navigation bar, click the Integrations icon.

For Webflow you can view:

  • Connection status
  • Connected workspaces or site configurations
  • Last usage information
  • Associated workflows and operators

Reconnect Webflow

If Webflow authorization expires or you want to update connected sites: Open the Integrations page from the left navigation bar. Select Webflow. Click Reconnect. Complete authorization again through the Webflow portal, making sure to select all required sites.

Existing workflows and operators do not need to be recreated.

Removing the Webflow Integration

You can remove the Webflow connection from your Supervity workspace at any time directly from within the Supervity platform.

Steps to Remove

Log in to Supervity. From the left navigation bar, click the Integrations icon. Locate and select Webflow from the integrations list. Click Disconnect. Confirm the action when prompted.

Implications of Removal

Once removed:

  • Supervity immediately loses all access to your Webflow account and sites
  • No new Webflow data will be read, uploaded, or modified after removal
  • All active Webflow connections within your Supervity workspace are terminated
  • Scheduled or active workflows that depend on Webflow will stop executing
  • Webflow-dependent workflow steps will fail safely with clear error messages
  • Existing workflow definitions within Supervity are not deleted — only the active connection is terminated
  • Historical execution logs remain available for auditing purposes

Disconnecting Webflow does not delete workflow definitions, operators, or previously generated outputs.

How Your Data Is Handled After Removal

Data Handling on Removal:

  • Supervity immediately loses access to your Webflow account upon removal
  • No new Webflow site, asset, or CMS collection data will be collected or processed after disconnection
  • Temporary files processed during workflow execution are deleted after execution completes
  • Webflow access tokens and all account-related data are permanently deleted from Supervity's platform within 15 minutes of disconnection — no background access continues after removal

Auditing & Observability

All Webflow activity performed through Supervity is logged.

Audit records include:

  • Which operator requested access
  • Which workflow executed the action
  • Timestamp of execution
  • Success or failure status
  • Relevant inputs and outputs (sensitive values are redacted)

This supports compliance, troubleshooting, governance, and operational visibility.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues at any stage, refer to the steps below. For issues not covered here, contact the Supervity support team.

Authorization Failed During Setup

Likely Cause: Incorrect Webflow account details, or corporate workspace policies restricting third-party applications.

Resolution:

  1. Ensure you are signed in to the correct Webflow account.
  2. Confirm you have Workspace Administrator permissions or permissions to authorize integrations on the target Webflow sites.
  3. Return to Supervity → Integrations → Webflow and click Connect to retry.
  4. If the issue persists, contact your IT administrator.

Collection Item Creation Failed

Likely Cause: Missing required CMS collection fields, invalid datatypes, or duplicate unique fields.

Resolution:

  1. Log in to Webflow and verify the schema requirements of the target CMS Collection.
  2. Ensure that your workflow data provides all required fields (such as 'Name' and 'Slug') in correct formats.
  3. Check the execution logs in Supervity for specific field mismatch errors returned by Webflow's API.

Asset Upload Failed

Likely Cause: Invalid image file formats, file sizes exceeding Webflow limits, or temporary upload URL timeouts.

Resolution:

  1. Ensure that the uploaded file matches Webflow-supported asset formats (PNG, JPEG, SVG, WebP, PDF, etc.).
  2. Confirm the file size is within Webflow's standard size limit.
  3. Check that the source URL or raw file payload is valid and accessible.

Connection Expired or Token Invalid

Likely Cause: Webflow security policies or manual workspace credential changes may force token revocation.

Resolution:

  1. Go to Integrations → Webflow → Reconnect.
  2. Complete the Webflow authorization flow again.
  3. Existing workflows do not need to be reconfigured after reconnection.
