Microsoft OneDrive Integration

'Connect Microsoft OneDrive to Supervity, authorize access, and use OneDrive data and actions in operators and workflows.'

This guide explains how to connect Microsoft OneDrive to Supervity, what data is available after connection, how operators can use OneDrive data and actions within workflows, and how to remove the integration when needed.

Overview

The Supervity Microsoft OneDrive integration allows your workspace to securely connect OneDrive as a governed platform capability.

Once connected, operators and workflows can use OneDrive data and actions to automate business processes, manage document structures, organize assets, and coordinate file-based operations across systems.

With the OneDrive integration, Supervity can:

  • Access directory listings from your OneDrive account
  • Search for files and folders using targeted search queries
  • Create new folders to organize documents automatically
  • Create and upload files to the root directory or specific folders
  • Download file content for processing and synchronization
  • Delete files and folders when they are no longer needed
  • Coordinate file transfers between OneDrive and other connected tools
  • Use file and folder metadata as context for operators
  • Trigger workflows based on folder and file updates

All OneDrive access is governed through Supervity's security, permissions, and audit controls.

Prerequisites

Before connecting OneDrive, ensure you have:

  • An active Supervity workspace
  • A Microsoft account (Personal, Work, or School) with OneDrive access
  • Permission to authorize applications on your Microsoft account
  • Access to the file directories and folders you want to manage

Depending on your Microsoft tenant configuration, some operations or folders may require administrator approval or specific user permissions within your organization.

How OneDrive Works in Supervity

After connection, Microsoft OneDrive becomes available as a governed platform tool.

Operators can use OneDrive capabilities when planning and executing tasks, while workflows can automate actions using OneDrive data.

Common use cases include:

  • Retrieving and listing file directories
  • Searching for specific business records or templates
  • Creating dedicated directories for projects, clients, or audits
  • Uploading generated reports, logs, and business outputs
  • Downloading documents for parsing, data extraction, or archiving
  • Synchronizing file storage across OneDrive and other business systems

Using OneDrive in Operators

Connected OneDrive capabilities become available to operators automatically. Operators determine when OneDrive data or actions are required to complete a task and execute accordingly, while remaining governed by workspace permissions, security controls, and approval policies.

What Operators Can Do with OneDrive

Operators can perform the following actions using OneDrive:

  • Search for files and folders based on query parameters
  • List contents of specific folders to audit or verify directory structure
  • Create new folders to build structured directories
  • Upload files with raw or structured content directly to root or nested folders
  • Download file content for review, processing, or data replication
  • Delete outdated or temporary files and folders
  • Correlate OneDrive data with CRM, support, project management, or other business systems
  • Generate summaries, insights, or operational reports from retrieved files
  • Combine file-level interactions with other applications for automated workflows

  • Complete audit logging
  • TLS 1.3 for all connection pipelines

All OneDrive access remains subject to Supervity security policies and role-based permissions.

Managing the Integration

View Connection Status

From the left navigation bar, click the Integrations icon.

For Microsoft OneDrive you can view:

  • Connection status
  • Granted permission categories
  • Last usage information
  • Associated workflows and operators

Reconnect OneDrive

If OneDrive authorization expires or security policies change:

  1. Open the Integrations page from the left navigation bar.
  2. Select Microsoft OneDrive.
  3. Click Reconnect.
  4. Complete authorization again through the Microsoft portal.

Existing workflows and operators do not need to be recreated.

Removing the OneDrive Integration

You can remove the OneDrive connection from your Supervity workspace at any time directly from within the Supervity platform.

Steps to Remove

  1. Log in to Supervity.
  2. From the left navigation bar, click the Integrations icon.
  3. Locate and select Microsoft OneDrive from the integrations list.
  4. Click Disconnect.
  5. Confirm the action when prompted.

Implications of Removal

Once removed:

  • Supervity immediately loses all access to your OneDrive account and associated data
  • No new OneDrive data will be retrieved or uploaded after removal
  • All active OneDrive connections within your Supervity workspace are terminated
  • Scheduled or active workflows that depend on OneDrive will stop executing
  • OneDrive-dependent workflow steps will fail safely with clear error messages
  • Existing workflow definitions within Supervity are not deleted — only the active connection is terminated
  • Historical execution logs remain available for auditing purposes

Disconnecting OneDrive does not delete workflow definitions, operators, or previously generated outputs.

How Your Data Is Handled After Removal

Data Handling on Removal:

  • Supervity immediately loses access to your OneDrive account upon removal
  • No new OneDrive files or data will be collected or processed after disconnection
  • Temporary files processed during workflow execution are deleted after execution completes
  • OneDrive access tokens and all account-related data are permanently deleted from Supervity's platform within 15 minutes of disconnection — no background access continues after removal

Auditing & Observability

All OneDrive activity performed through Supervity is logged.

Audit records include:

  • Which operator requested access
  • Which workflow executed the action
  • Timestamp of execution
  • Success or failure status
  • Relevant inputs and outputs (sensitive values are redacted)

This supports compliance, troubleshooting, governance, and operational visibility.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues at any stage, refer to the steps below. For issues not covered here, contact the Supervity support team.

Authorization Failed During Setup

Likely Cause: Incorrect Microsoft account used, or corporate tenant policies restricting third-party applications.

Resolution:

  1. Ensure you are signed in to the correct Microsoft or OneDrive account.
  2. Verify with your organization's IT administrator that your account is allowed to authorize third-party applications.
  3. Return to Supervity → Integrations → Microsoft OneDrive and click Connect to retry.
  4. If the issue persists, contact your IT administrator.

OneDrive Shows Connected but Files Are Missing

Likely Cause: File permissions are restricted, or the files are hosted under a different account/directory than the authorized user account.

Resolution:

  1. Verify that the files exist in the connected OneDrive account.
  2. Confirm the account connected to Supervity has read or write permissions for the requested folders.
  3. Reconnect the integration via Integrations → Microsoft OneDrive → Reconnect to refresh permissions.

Connection Expired or Token Invalid

Likely Cause: Microsoft security policies may force token expiration or revocation.

Resolution:

  1. Go to Integrations → Microsoft OneDrive → Reconnect.
  2. Complete the Microsoft authorization flow again.
  3. Existing workflows do not need to be reconfigured after reconnection.

Workflow Cannot Access OneDrive

Likely Cause: OneDrive may have been disconnected, or workspace governance policies may restrict access.

Resolution:

  1. Confirm Microsoft OneDrive is still connected under the Integrations page.
  2. Verify the workflow has permission to use OneDrive within your workspace governance settings.
  3. Check that workspace policies allow OneDrive execution for the relevant operators or workflows.

Uploading or Creating Folders Fails

Likely Cause: Invalid directory paths, unauthorized folders, or invalid characters in file names.

Resolution:

  1. Confirm that you are not trying to upload to a read-only folder or a shared path where your account lacks write access.
  2. Avoid using reserved characters in file or folder names (such as \ / : * ? " < > |).
  3. Ensure that your OneDrive account has sufficient storage capacity.

Downloading Files Fails

Likely Cause: The targeted file may have been moved, renamed, or deleted, or has strict access restrictions.

Resolution:

  1. Verify the file path and file name are correct and still exist in your OneDrive directory.
  2. Ensure the connected account has download privileges for the target file.
  3. Verify that the file size is within supported download limits.
